My life in Dayton is winding down. Work is receding. It's about time to start getting ready for the next phase. I thought I put this up earlier, but apparently, it's not in my archive, so I must have deleted it, or had some reason for not putting it up. The original plan was to leave Dayton and go to business school in the fall. I had a disagreement with Wharton, though, in that I wanted to go, and they didn't want to find a spot for me off of their waitlist. Fine, no big deal. I plan to hit them again, but I don't think I'll do it this fall. Time to go do something else.

Phase one is to go take a trip. I'm going to Europe for a while. I plan on bumming around with a backpack and seeing what there is to see. This is not a trip about finding myself, or deciding what I want to do with my life. I know who I am, and know where I'm going. This trip is about being somewhere else and doing different things. I'm going to Europe because I can.

To that end, and so my mother knows where I am, I've created a separate log to follow the journey. It'll be my primary focus of updating this site for the next several months. Just point to here to read all the gory details.

Post the trip, I will need to go back to work, since I will have no money. I'm open to many options, so I can't even tell you where I want to work. It's likely to be somewhere out west, but there's a few locations on the East Coast that I wouldn't rule out. We'll just have to see. But all of that is too far ahead to worry about right now.

I'm going to Europe, come along for the ride.
