Yesterday, at the Borders, one of the themed music displays at the end of the row suffered minor vandalism. The genre sign read, "Mallternative."

I'm on an alumni email list, primarily for job/career related stuff. Sure, other stuff slips in there--apartments for rent, people trying to sell random bits of stuff, random advice on trips and stuff, but it didn't become overwhelming until zero-hour for this war. See, it's all fine and good to go to a prestigious university, but it does build into a you a bit (or in some cases, more than a bit) of arrogance. And one bit of arrogance is that EVERYBODY CARES WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE WAR. I don't. Pro-war. Anti-war. Just because I'm on a career email list with you doesn't mean I give a flying fig about your position on US foreign policy or international relations.

I was going to write something about alumni email lists, but drudge says sirens are going off in Baghdad. And so it begins.......
