25 December 2000
Merry Christmas, or Happy Hannukah, or miscellaneous.

15 December 2000
If I were 75 years old, I'd be in the hospital with a broken hip. As it is, I'm relatively young and healthy, so slipping on the icy porch this morning just tweaked my shoulder and back a bit. Has anyone else who celebrates Christmas managed to not do anything for the holiday yet, like myself? I need to shop at some point, but I don't really see when I'll have time. I guess that means I'll be out with all the idiots on Christmas Eve. Just like last year.

From the everybody-else-is-doing-it dept.:

Here they are, my top ten albums for 2000. Feel free to send me hate mail on this. It's your first amendment right!

Well, I would tell of all the wonderful adventures I had last week in Philly and Boston, but there are no really good stories, so I'll just say I could easily see myself living in either place next year. Of course, the decision isn't totally up to me.

10 December 2000
Returned. Successful trip. Coming down with cold. More tomorrow.

03 December 2000
In the morning I leave Dayton OH for a week. On tap is a whirlwind tour of Philly and Boston. I'm going to check out some places I might end up at next year. I also get to see old college friends (in both senses of the word--has it been that long?) and, there should be enough time for a little fun amongst all the serious stuff. I'm sure it's more fun than whatever you'll be doing.

My purpose is clear. My mind is crystal. The path before me is well-marked and well-lit. There's a slight rise, and then it disappears behind a hill. There's no doubts. It's time to get underway. But first, a small rest under the tree.
